The Follow-up Master's Program in Curatorial Studies addresses the need to educate skilled professionals in the contextualization, production, presentation, interpretation, and socialization of contemporary visual art. This program's specificity lies in the integration of theoretical and practical components, aimed at mastering the operational dynamics of cultural institutions, the presentation and socialization of visual art, journalism, art criticism, and the art market. The program combines theoretical knowledge from art history, art theory, and social sciences with practical skills for managing institutions that preserve, process, produce, and publicly present works of visual art. Particular attention is given to the contemporary visual art and culture of both the Czech Republic and the international environment. Additionally, the curriculum addresses key aspects of art theory, the methodology of art history, curatorial practices, and gallery operations, with special emphasis on the production and marketing of contemporary art. Graduates are equipped with both theoretical insights and practical skills gained through collaboration with specific institutions and international professionals representing significant gallery organizations. These hands-on experiences, reflected upon during their studies, prepare graduates for real-world work conditions and enable their engagement across various domains of art production and institutional frameworks. Innovations in the curriculum design and content reflect the unique requirements of 21st-century visual art production and the evolving dynamics of the art industry. **Unique Focus and Character of the Program** The Follow-up Master's Program in Curatorial Studies offers a distinctive orientation and exceptional character. Curatorial Studies remains a relatively young discipline, shaped primarily by the development of specific methods for the operation, production, interpretation, and socialization of contemporary visual art. The program's structure combines two fundamental approaches: emphasis on the theoretical reflection of current artistic creation and the acquisition of core competencies in production and institutional work within museums and galleries. In this context, the program provides students with a structured insight into historical and methodological issues in 20th- and 21st-century visual art. It also offers workshops and seminars that focus on both conceptual and practical aspects of implementing creative exhibition projects. The unique character of the Curatorial Studies program is reinforced by a well-structured and continually updated study plan. This plan integrates traditional forms of teaching, such as lectures, seminars, and exercises, with a studio-based model emphasizing practical outcomes, particularly through the course *Curatorial Workshop*. Key to the program is the production of public student exhibitions as part of annual projects, which offer students essential practical experience in exhibition management. An added value of the Curatorial Studies program is the interaction among students from diverse academic backgrounds, including artistic creation, art history and theory, art education, and cultural production and marketing. This multidisciplinary environment fosters the development of creative and inspirational teams and projects. The program also emphasizes the production of high-quality, practice-based outcomes and offers students opportunities to engage with real-world curatorial and institutional challenges, ensuring a comprehensive preparation for careers in contemporary art and culture.
