Key learning outcomes The main goal of the study program is to provide students with expertise in the general humanities as well as deeper theoretical knowledge of selected humanities such as sociology, ethics, law and philosophy or political science, so that they can analyze, interpret and explain current social processes, problems and challenges for individuals. and society. Students will acquire both theoretical knowledge and familiarity with the historical and current development of various humanities, as well as current approaches to solving and applying their topics (which will equip students with a range of practical knowledge and skills). Emphasis is also placed on the development of skills to critically view the researched topics from the positions of individual humanities and social sciences, but also in a comprehensive approach using mutual interdisciplinary relationships. The Humanities module provides a deeper introduction to the world of humanities, the core of which is the deepening of knowledge in the field of methodology of social sciences and humanities and skills in the field of written and oral presentation of researched social science topics. The module Aesthetics and Art Sciences introduces a deeper look into the theory and knowledge of art, especially art, in order to enable students in the field of aesthetics and art history to develop skills to reproduce professional texts and produce their own texts and interpretations (at the bachelor's degree level). The study program also emphasizes the acquisition of communication and presentation skills and teaching foreign languages (English, German), which are necessary not only due to the fact that part of the literature on compulsory and optional subjects is assigned in foreign languages, but especially with regard to the possibility of employing graduates and the skills they have acquired in future employment.
