Learning outcomes
|
The course is based mainly on the analysis of the term "controversial topics", on an interactive approach to the topics of individual lessons. It will enable students to work with diversity of opinion, to form and formulate their own attitudes through model situations.
Students: - explain, analyze and demonstrate on specific examples the basic concepts (diversity, controversy, controversial social and political issues, identity, multiculturalism, unipolarity) - identify current controversial social and political issues and justify why they are controversial - analyse researched case studies and model situations and reflect their own attitudes - exercise the rights of a participant in various forms of discussion and respect the rights of other participants - identify and analyse selected controversial topic, present them in the form of essays, PowerPoint and oral presentations

1. the student will have a maximum of 2 absences 2. the student analyses the selected controversial topic in writing and searches the literature and other sources on the topic 3. the student presents one of the selected controversial topics in the form of a PowerPoint and oral presentation
