Key learning outcomes | Educational goals of this study program are: 1. to provide students with relevant knowledge in the field of linguistics and literature focusing on intercultural contexts, including the history and culture of German-speaking countries, 2. equip graduates with theoretical knowledge from key linguistic disciplines, the ability to classify them and put them into context, including the command of related linguistic terminology, 3. to provide students with the ability to analyze a literary text within its cultural and historical contexts, the command of literary concepts and the knowledge literary epochs, culture and history the German-speaking area, 4. to develop students' communication skills in German, including understanding the stylistic specifics of language communication, to deepen their receptive and productive language skills both in the field of fast and correct comprehension of German speech and texts, and in fluent oral and written expression to meet the requirements of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages at the minimum of B2 level, 5. to provide its graduates who decide to continue their philological or teacher training in German at master's level with a solid and sufficiently broad foundation in both linguistics and literature, as well as with communication and intercultural competences. |
