Learning outcomes |
In technical practice, the material is exposed to a number of influences that cause its degradation. One of the significant factors is the effect of the corrosive environment. The corrosive environment in power plants can cause power and consequently economic losses of the entire system. The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the mechanism of corrosion products, the distribution of corrosion environments, methods of corrosion protection and methodology for assessing corrosion damage to materials in energy.
Students will get acquainted with the basic mechanisms of corrosion, procedures for evaluating the corrosion attack of materials used in energy using the relevant standards. |
