Course content
1. Importance of History and Geography teaching in primary school. Didactic transformation of scientific knowledge in various fields didactic system vlastivědy. Homeland curriculum and its characteristics in the curriculum (FEP). Methodology homeland as a scientific discipline. 2. Structure of chronology (periodization) of history curriculum in 4 to 5-year primary school the importance of education history. 3. Development of National tuition at us from its beginnings to the present day, characteristics of developmental stages of articles about nature and society. Homeland didactic teaching systems in selected other countries, compared with teaching us. Fourth orientation in time and space values. 5. Educational aims of teaching homeland study and their implementation in individual subjects of the curriculum. Applying sixth psychodidaktického approach in teaching homeland Creating ideas, concepts, skills and habits, development of logical thinking in natural history. Working with naive notions of pupils (and preconceptions misconception). The importance of visual teaching in primary school. 7th Methodological and factual analysis of the current school content units homeland. 8th Interdisciplinary relationships in the horizontal and vertical level, kroskurikulární topics FEP. 9th Didactic means in homeland study: textbooks and other teaching resources in natural history. Evaluation of textbooks, textbook selection, work with textbook and PL. 10. Specific didactic resources in homeland study: teaching practices when working with maps and other cartographic materials. Types of maps and their use in teaching geography and history in primary school. The emergence map. 11. Financial literacy, population protection in emergencies. Principle 12. Regional and local landscape 13th Field lessons in natural history.

Learning outcomes
Student has in course of preparation to acquire such competencies that will enable him to successfully lead national history teaching in the subject (or object with a different name, but same content). Methodically seminars are designed so that students gain experience with different approaches to teaching and different teaching strategies. The course built on interactive methods and team work of students. Attention is also paid to the various concepts of designing curriculum, organizational forms, methods of work, selection of appropriate motivation and activation methods work, tools, evaluation of students, teaching and possibilities of using computer technology (eg. Working with interactive whiteboards). Students learn skills outside of it associated with content creation and implementation of integrated (cross-curricular linked) teaching and implementation of cross-cutting themes into the curriculum (environmental education, education for thinking in European and global context, multicultural education). Attention is paid to the changes and recommendations modified FEP.
Students understand the content and location homeland in the curriculum; formulates the main and sub-goals of Homeland lessons, learn the technical terminology; understands and applies appropriate teaching methods and appropriate organizational forms in relation to the objectives of teaching. Relationships and context of National curriculum and can adequately considering the age of the pupils, the local region and the general requirements of curricula reflected in practical activities (in planning curriculum, preparing for lessons and outings, projects etc.); adequately utilizes various teaching methods and resources for teaching natural history. Implements the teaching of cross-cutting themes; integrates the knowledge of various scientific disciplines; able to take advantage of the educational value of National curriculum.
