Chamberlain 8 Nationalism and colonialism 9 National Socialism 10 Holocaust 11 New anti-Semitism, Holocaust denial and anti-Zionism 12 Racialism and racial separatism 13 Identity and the "Third Way"

Learning outcomes
The aim is to identify the main lines of racial theories and ideologies in the European environment from the 19th century to the present day, including contemporary currents that are verbally distance themselves from biological racism.
Students will acquire this expertise: - Basic concepts and theories related to racism and anti-Semitism - Knowledge of the chronological development of racism and anti-Semitism, particularly in Europe - Learn to distinguish between racial theory and racial ideology - Learn to identify typical practices common to the racial ideology - Learn to distinguish anti-Semitism from anti-Zionism - Can identify "hidden" racism

Assessment methods and criteria

The course ends with a written text that validates the knowledge gained. Before the test, the student must write an essay on a topic selected by him from the field of racial theories.
