Curriculum of a particular field of study in the system of educational disciplines, the relationship between curriculum of a particular field of study and curriculum in general, Curriculum of Foundations of Humanities 2.Specifics of Foundations of Citizenship and Humanities; demands on the teacher's concept of teaching; demands on the choice of pedagogical approaches and educational methods; 3. Curriculum of Humanities and its disciplines; a selection and analysis of basic and extended curriculum; educational goals within individual disciplines; 4. Preparing a thematic unit and lesson plans of Humanities; 5. Feedback and evaluation methods of Humanities

Learning outcomes |
The aim of the course is a curriculum analysis of various social and scientific disciplines in order to provide students with knowledge about their educational content, i.e. curriculum and educational goals. The course is focused on the development of teacher competence, especially methodological and didactic competencies; and prepares students for graduating teachers in their teacher training.
Students will deepen the following skills and abilities: - understanding of individual curriculum and instructions of Humanities - ability to transform knowledge acquired in the course into the education curriculum of Foundations of Citizenship and Humanities at Gymnasiums and Secondary Schools according to the principles and strategies of contemporary curricular materials - skills in using activating methodological procedures to come up to expectations in outcomes the above mentioned fields of study - competence for their own outcomes and implementation of lessons and thematic units the above mentioned fields of study |

Assessment methods and criteria |

During the course, students will create a portfolio, which will be compiled of all written outcomes from individual lessons. To obtain a credit: - it will be based on the discussion between students and a lecturer about project and preparation of a teaching unit. It will be worked out by the student after the last module; - it will be based on a project preparation and presentation to work in the lessons of Education for Citizenship and Foundations of Humanities. Conditions for obtaining a credit: students will have a maximum of two excused absences 2. Students will work out their tasks for students who were missing 3. During an interview, students will defend their preparation of teaching units 4. Students will prepare and present a project to work in the lesson in Civics. |
