Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the young discipline of sociology, which is a sub-cultural study. The aim of this course is to introduce students to the development of contemporary youth subcultures in the European environment, their main features and possible ways of politicization. Attention will be paid to the possible diffusion of the subculture lifestyle and social pathology.
Students will acquire the following academic knowledge: - understand the fundamental theories relating to contemporary youth subcultures - Can identify basic contemporary subculture - Is able to identify potential hazards (political extremism, social pathology) associated with subcultures

Assessment methods and criteria

The course ends with a written text that validates the knowledge gained. Before the test, the student must write an essay on a topic selected by him from the sociology of subcultures.
