Topics: - Definition of utopia - Examples of conceptual differentiation of various types of utopian thinking - Time and place utopia - Rule and politics utopia - Negative utopia - Utopian thinking in the 20th century

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on defining the concept of utopia in the dimensions of the actual, workable and non-feasible. The possibility of a conceptual distinction between different types of utopian thinking will be presented. It will point out the difference between modern time and place utopias , the importance of negative utopia and diversity of views on utopia today.
Student will get oriented in the development of modern utopian thinking and be able to understand coherence of philosophical and political themes. At the same time, he/she will get an overview of the historical context that makes the idea of a better organization of society.

Students will defend their seminar work, which will interpret studied primary and secondary literature related to the topic.
