Learning outcomes |
Historical seminar is a follow-up of the Historical Proseminar which it expands and adds to it. The objective of Historical Proseminar I is to develop the creative abilities of the student based on the work with scientific literature and sources, in the form of writing various kinds of scientific text, thus stressing the preparation for the future bachelor's thesis. Part of the seminar is also watching the present-day happening in history - in individual papers the students will inform the audience about events to come (conferences, exhibitions, etc.) The objective of the Historical Proseminar II is to continue with the previous semester and deepen the knowledge of the students mainly in the field of various methodological approaches applied to the already given topics of seminar papers. The students will themselves elaborate and apply the chosen methodological approaches - e.g. micro-history, historical anthropology, gender studies and others. So they will learn various possibilities and standpoints to work with the topics.
The students will deepen the ability of individual work in history, mainly in the field of methodology and critical work with the sources and literature and are able to work with the scientific literature while elaborating their own topic. They will also deepen their ability of written and oral scientific performance. They are prepared to work on their own bachelor's thesis and also prepared to defend it. |
