Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is deepening of linguistic knowledge in the given discipline with focus in didactics of phraseology and widening of phraseological competence of the students. During the lessons students will be acquainted with the characteristics of phrasemes, their classification, paradigmatic relations in phraseology, stylistic and communicative-pragmatic aspects of these language instruments. Especially they will be advised on difficulties of work with phraseological units in teaching and will become acquainted with creative and effective phraseodidactic methods. Students are expected to apply these to specific proposals of didactization for teaching purposes at secondary school.
Students - can describe typical features of phrasemes and distinguish them from non- phraseological units - can define different types of phrasemes - is aware of pragmatic and textual potential of phrasemes including the problems related to their use in a foreign language - is familiar with effective methods of working with phrasemes in teaching at particular schools and is able to apply them in practice.
