Key learning outcomes

The main goal of the study in the philological field is to acquire knowledge and skills in the area of communicative competence (wide knowledge of the written and spoken German language standard at the output level of C1-C2 according to the Common European Framework for Language Learning /SERR/), didactics of individual disciplines of German language learning (wide knowledge of modern methodological procedures, principles and forms of the teaching of German), in linguistic disciplines (wide knowledge of the current German language and its subsystems from the synchronic, diachronic and comparative points of view), in the area of literary scholarship and that of intercultural competence (wide knowledge of literature of the German language area with a special focus on Czech-German relations). The main goals in the area of pedagogy and psychology are characterised by an ability to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the course of studying pedagogical and psychological disciplines in a manner that would enable the prospective teachers to conduct the educational process at the secondary degree of education in a highly qualified way.
