Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to come closer to students with the view of lexicology and word-formation from the confrontational (Czech-German) point of view and in the direct relation to the courses "Lexicology I, II" from the bachelor study programme and thus deepen the theoretical knowledge of the lexical plane of German and enrich them with the comparative viewpoint.
The course mediates selected linguistic and intercultural aspects of research of the lexical plan of the current German language as well as the Czech language while accentuating the criterion of equivalence, similarity and contrastivity. By relying on the latest knowledge of linguistic research the teachers will develop the ability of looking at and disclosing fine lexical asymmetries in their students and help them get a deeper insight in individual issues of this subject.
