Course content
1. Semester schedule, the conditions for obtaining credit and exams. Introduction into the subject. Modelling of geographic objects. 2. Basic of mathematical cartography and simple cartographic projections. Coordinate systems using in Czech Republic. Maps and their classification. 3. Basic work in GIS - aspects of geodata, vector and raster models. 4. Data processing methods, map production, spatial composition map. 5. Thematic cartography and its methods. Generalisation and statistics. 6. Sources of spatial and attribute data. The data creation. 7. Data sources in the CZE 8. Transformation in between coordinate systems, geometrical transformations 9. GPS, field mapping 10. GIS analysis 1 11. GIS analysis 2 12. Digital terrain models 13. Data visualization 14. Tests
