Physiological birth 2. Classification of childbirth 3. Fetus as the birth object 4. Birth forces, birth mechanism 5. Childbirth 6-7. Learning outcomes
The course introduces students to the issues of reproductive female health. It extends and complements the knowledge of anatomy and physiology, gynecology, embryology, genetics and the basics of sonography. It introduces the issue of fertility, fetal development and prenatal care during physiological pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
Students understand and can successfully apply their knowledge of physiological pregnancy, physiological birth and postpartum period in practice; they gain theoretical knowledge from the field of pathological pregnancy conditions, during a childbirth and postpartum period, and they can appropriately use this knowledge in obstetric practice; they know new trends related to obstetrics, they acquire competences and knowledge to be used in female health care in the form of a nursing process.
