Seminar Topics: 1. - 2. week: Undesrtanding work activites at the workplace and the role of individual members of a multidisciplinary team. Realization of medical examination during admission, planning of occupational therapy intervention, releasing medical examination and final health assessment. Learning outcomes
The subject helps students to develop the skills in practical occupational therapy. It is taught at professional workplaces of medical institutions including specialized institutions and social service institutions. It guides students towards the independent work at a professional level. The goal of the subject is to gain knowledge of applied occupational therapy procedures in basic indicative areas as well as to gain knowledge of principles of medical and rehabilitation procedures when realizing complex occupational therapy program.
Subject Knowledge: The student can explain the possibilities of occupational therapy for a specific patient/service user. Professional Skills: The student can examine a client within the framework of occupational therapy, suggest occupational therapy plan, provide documentation understanding and its proper administration.
