Seminar Topics: 1. - 2. week: Understanding work activities at the workplace and the role of the members of a multidisciplinary team. The application of communication principles when dealing with a patient / service user in medical or social institution. The assessment of a patient/service user by means of tests focused on common daily activities. Learning outcomes
The subject provides students with skills in practical occupational therapy. It is taught at professional workplaces of medical institutions including specialized institutions and social service institutions. It guides students towards the independent work at a professional level. The goal of the subject is to gain knowledge of applied occupational therapy procedures in basic indicative areas as well as to gain knowledge of principles covering medical and rehabilitation procedures in order to realize a complex occupational therapy program.
Subject Knowledge: The student can explain the possibilities of occupational therapy for a specific patient/service user. Professional Skills: The student can propose and realize occupational therapy plan, run the documentation and administration of occupational therapy.
