Learning outcomes
Aims: The course is an introduction to the creation and reading of technical documentation, which is the main basis for the implementation of products. Students develop spatial imagination and acquire skills in manual drawing and dimensioning of basic geometric shapes and components and assemblies. The aim is to prepare students for the following courses of structural and technological character.
Students will learn the rules of 3D objects displaying in 2D plane by means of orthogonal projection, rules of technical drawing of machine parts and mechanisms, they will learn about the rules of dimensioning. The student is familiar with specifying the necessary accuracy, tolerances, and surface roughness requirements on part drawings. The student is able to independently process the technical documentation of a given (proposed) part or assembly.
