Course contents: 1. Introduction to road vehicles, driving resistances, driving limits. 2. Axles and their design principle. 3. Flexible systems, damping, passive, active, semiactive. 4. Wheels, tires, suspension. 5. Brake systems. 6. Control device. 7. Couplings. 8. Gearboxes, shifting, synchronization, automatic transmissions. 9. Shafts, connecting, articulated. 10. Drive casing. 11. Differentials.

Goals: Basic explanation of the theory and construction of passenger and commercial vehicles. Application and dissemination of knowledge gained by previous studies.
The student has a basic knowledge of the automobile (motor vehicle) theory, an overview of the current state of construction of individual groups and vehicle parts.
