1. The importance of quality, the historical development of quality management, and the key concepts and principles of quality management (including standards, ISO, and TQM) 2. Quality management systems in enterprises, quality system documentation, and the roles of top management and quality policy 3. Quality methods and tools I: Checklists, histograms, flowcharts, Pareto diagrams, 6M, and Ishikawa diagrams, along with their applications 4. Quality methods and tools II: Correlation and regression, QFD, FMEA, FTA, and PDCA, and their applications 5. Fundamentals of process capability and statistical process control (SPC) 6. Quality in the pre-production stages: Concept and design, quality planning, delivery quality requirements, APQP, PPAP, supplier assessment and selection, motivation and evaluation of supplier qualifications, and verification of supply conformity 7. Quality in production: Operative quality management, forms and methods of conformity verification during production 8. Quality in post-production stages: Commissioning, monitoring customer satisfaction and loyalty, service and product responsibility, non-conformance management, corrective and preventive actions, QRQC, and G8D 9. Quality auditing: Types of audits, audit methodology, testing, and certification 10. Quality improvement: Fundamentals of improvement processes, quality matrices, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing 11. The economics of quality: Fundamentals, importance, cost monitoring, and efficiency monitoring 12. Quality awards and quality policy governance

|
Contemporary modern quality management plays crucial role in management system within organization. It provides two fundamental functions: to maximize the contentment and loyalty of customers and to minimize the costs. The fundamental objective is to acquaint the students with modern systems of quality control, fundamental tools and methodology, further to clarify the role of top management, its function and role of supervisors of quality and other emploees in quality system in all phases of manufacturing process and services. 1. Seminars are compulsory, min. 75% attendance at seminars is assumed. Attendance at lectures is recommended. The condition for obtaining the credit is: a) professional activity in seminars b) successful completion of 2 tests on dates set in advance To obtain the credit, the student must achieve 60% of the maximum points (100) from each test. To pass the exam, it is necessary to pass a final test focused on the calculation of basic economic quantities and theoretical questions that demonstrate mastery of the subject. To pass the test, it is necessary to obtain at least 60% of the maximum of 100 achievable.
