Course content
Contents: 1. Introduction to the automation of processing machines. Definition hard and flexible automation, time machines employment, reasons for implementing flexible automation, production capacity and production machine performance. 2. Realization of automated systems. Hard, inelastic, flexible and integrated automation. Pertinence for various levels series of production. 3. Control systems. Control engineering for processing machine - relay systems, NC, CNC, PLC, PC, structure of CNC system. 4. CNC systems. Principles of programming, preparation of part - programme on computer, gutter structure, principles of construction HW and SW. 5. Feedback elements and sensors. Classification of measurement of position, principle and function of photoelectric sensors, processing of their signal, reference point. 6. Feedback elements and sensors. Principle and function inductive measurement, signal processing, reference point. Sensor of pressure, temperature, flow and rate. 7. Control drive. Principles, function, make main advantage and disadvantages of electric, hydraulic and pneumatic drives. 8. Control drive. Main used types of motors. Drive of shifts and spindles of machine tool. 9. Dimensioning of drives. Influence of parameters of machines on quality drive (passive resistance, moment of inertia, clearance, stiffness). Kinetic and dynamic of drive. 10. Dimensioning of drives. Optimum transmission, clutch and transmissions, guiding surface, shift screws. 11. Dimensioning of drives. Parameters and relations used at proposal of servos, conversion of loads and inertial masses. 12. Dimensioning of drives. Loading forces and circular moments and determination of their sizes. Flexible production systems. 13. Some modern manners of drive of processing machine. Self-adapting and self-adjusting regulators, compensation of some errors, measurement during cutting, detection of abrasion and break of tools.

Summary of automation principles and elements which are used in production of machines. Subject is specialized on numerical drive machine tool grinder and sharpener inclusive elastic production systems, on characteristics of tractions for these applications and on project of mechanics of positional servos.
