Course content
Subject content: 1. Elements of production machines, system construction and dynamic criteria of mechanisms. 2. Drives. Hydraulic drives, electrohydraulic drives. 3. Gearboxes, mechanical sliding units, clutches, frames. Sliding and rotation guiding. 4. Principles of system management and regulation of production machines. 5. Mechanisms of machines for cutting and separation of materials. 6. Mechanisms of machines for forming. 7. Mechanisms of machine tools - turning machines, milling cutters, boring machines. 8. Mechanisms of machine tools - planers, grinders and honing machines. 9. Machine tool centres. 10. Mechanisms of machine tools for welding and soldering. 11. Robot mechanisms. 12. Mechanisms of accessory equipment in production - transport and material handling machines and equipment - summary. 13. Mechanisms of lifting equipment.

Learning outcomes
The subject extends basic knowledge of machine parts with more complicated machine parts and mechanisms which are used in production machines, conceivably in machines in consumption, and food industry and their use.
- Students will learn the principles of dynamic machine assessment - Students are well versed in the design of propulsion and coupling mechanisms of machines - Can perform basic calculations, assess structural and functional solutions of mechanisms
