Learning outcomes
|
This course is a follow-up to an earlier language training of a bachelor´s course, which extends the language competence to the C1+ level of the CEFR. The course also focuses on specific issues related to the needs of didactic teaching of German in Czech schools. Emphasis is placed on strengthening individual language skills. In the listening and reading comprehension authentic texts in general and academic language will be provided. In written communication we will concentrate on the summary of text and essay, while communicative competence will deal with an oral presentation on a topic of methodology. Based on this a discussion will be led where the appropriate selection of language devices and argumentation strategies will be improved.
Student - knows the standards of formal German (written and spoken) and have learned German vocabulary as well as grammar at the output level C1-C2 of the CEFR - is able to fully and directly understand the spoken and written language and respond adequately - can write an essay (Erörterung) on a more complex topic, is able to present a paper to a specialized topic based on own thesis and can lead a discussion.
