The course will be held as a double unit every second week. The students are required to actively participate in the seminar and to fulfill smaller tasks as preparation and follow-up activities (e.g. writing short comments on the output of the seminar).

Learning outcomes
|
The seminar focuses on a selection of Austrian women who have made significant contributions to science, the arts, politics, and other important fields of Austrian society. The debate of the biographies and impact of these women will take place using a broad variety of media (literature, movies, pictures) and learning activities that reach from open discussions to creative writing.
Deepening knowledge of Austria culture and society through "Kürzestprosa" in a literary and cultural context

In the seminar, short texts by Austrian authors are presented, read and discussed together. The course is held as a block course. The appointments are made in the first week. Participation in the first week is mandatory.
