1. Introduction to the development of the genre and the current comic scene in the literature for children and youth: American and Japanese influences; traditional German comics (Max und Moritz, Struwelpeter, etc.); comic book adaptations of works from the German literary canon; the current comic scene in Germany; Czech-German themes in Czech and German comics 2. The intercultural and didactic potential of comics to enrich the teaching of the German language 3. Didactic activities developing reading comprehension, speaking, writing (introduction and testing, or proposal of new didactic activities) 4. Creating your own comic story, programs and applications for creating comics for use in teaching

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with various possibilities of didactic use of comics. Comics are one of the most popular genres of youth reading, so its use offers opportunities for effective and fun enrichment of German language teaching.
Students will learn to use comics and comic materials in teaching German.
