. Introduction: definition and allocation of tasks 2. Assigned drama (Petra Wüllenweber: Restglühen) and its interpretation 3. Lecture on the trends of modern drama and difficulties of the text in terms of theater studies (Dr. Jitka Pavlišová) 4. Proper translations, their presentation and analysis 5. Workshop with German students of Czech language and literature, discussion on controversial parts 6. Workshop with dramaturge D. Haladová 7. Summary and Evaluation

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to convey a practical experience with a literary translation, especially with translation of dramatic texts. It's not just about a training of translation but also about an insight into problems related to initial interpretation of the text in context with contemporary trends of drama. The work of dramaturge will be taken into consideration, too. The final text shall be presented to the audience of Ústí nad Labem.
Student - is able to interpret assigned drama piece of work and evaluate its reception - gets familiar with trends of current drama - is able to translate assigned texts adequately

Completion Course of translation in bachelor study recommended
