Course content
In the first part of the seminar, essential terminology, concepts and questions of intercultural literary theory will be presented. Based on this knowledge, we will then analyse and discuss selected literary texts by authors such as Yoko Tawada, Julya Rabinowich or Vladimir Vertlib.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the seminar is to make students familiar with the basic terminology and concepts of intercultural literary theory. This knowledge will subsequently be applied on selected literary texts.
The student is oriented in literary theories of the 20th century, knows their main ideas and representatives, can apply them to a literary text.
Prerequisites
Students will be able to analyse texts from the perspective of intercultural literary theory, they will be able to identify and interpret intercultural issues in literary texts.
