This Bachelors Thesis is focused on the issue of Burnout Syndrome within the employees of the Department of Social Affairs and Healthcare at the Municipality of Děčín. The Syndrome is often addressed to as the main cause of high fluctuation at this department.
The objective of this thesis is to identify the risk factors leading to the Burnout Syndrome. Quantitative analysis and form of survey followed by qualitative analysis in the form of semi-structured interview, were chosen to accomplish the objective. The interview showed us how employees perceive such specific situations.
Three hypothesis were tested by the quantitative analysis, that have influence onto achieving the objective. I suppose that employees with shorter work experience at OSVaZ are not so much emotionally exhausted then the employees with more then 10 years of experiences. Fur-thermore, I suppose that younger employees at OSVaZ have lower level of work satisfaction than the employees at the dawn of their career, and day-to-day and direct work with clients outweighs the administrative work of the emotionally exhausted OSVaZ staff.
The survey by the means of Maslach Burnout Inventory showed that the Burnout Syndorme is present at EE (48%), DP (52%) and PA(35%). Furthermore, hypothesis one was confirmed and hypothesis two and three were refuted. The interviews helped to identify risk factors, cau-ses and preventive measures from the side of employer as well as employee. Lastly, after pai-ring the interviews with survey result, interesting conclusions were acquired.
