Práce definuje feminismus. Pozornost bude věnována feministickým ideálům v knize a závislost ženských postav na mužském element v tradičních rolích společnosti. Analýza začíná vyvětlení základních východisek, co je to feminismus a v jakém prostředí byla kniha koncipována s ohledem na historickou potřebu emancipace žen. Následující část se zabývá vysvětlením, co charakterizuje feministické romány. Je důležité pochopit, co je feminismus, abychom podpořili tvrzení, že The Golden Notebook je součástí feministické tradice. Práce bude koncipována metodou analýzy textu pozorného čtění. Analytická část se zabývá problematikou ženské zkušenosti v současné společnosti.

This research closely examines and analyzes The Golden Notebook as a feminist piece of writing, compares it to traditional feminist texts, and shows the impact of feminism on the novel. The thesis will define feminism. Close attention will be paid to the feminist ideals in the book and how they affected the dependency of character. Analyses begin by laying down some foundational background of what feminism is and in what setting was the book conceived with the historical need for the emancipation of women. The following part deals explanation of what characterizes feminist novels. It is important to understand what feminism is to support the argument that The Golden Notebook is part of the feminist tradition. The book will be analysed with the method of a close. The analytical part explores the problems of female experience in contemporary society.
