The aim of this thesis is to describe the differences in the perception of two styles of footwear advertising photography through a thematic analysis of free associations obtained through A/B testing via an online questionnaire. Therefore, in the theoretical introduction, I define the terms Pierre Bourdieu, Symbolic Capital and Social Field, which describe the values that shoe manufacturers create and for which customers wear them. The research section includes a description of the procedure for obtaining and processing free associations. In the Discussion, I present the individual findings, which I summarize in the context of previous research on the relationship between customers and clothing.
