The first part of this thesis, the literature review, maps all main research outcomes done within the given subject of proving or disproving menstrual synchrony/asynchrony and describing this phenomenon in depth.
The second part is presenting analyses of data records of Mandrillus sphinx females living in captivity in the Ústí nad Labem ZOO. These data were collected by zookeepers on daily basis for couple of years. Analyses should give additional insights for evidence of significant synchrony/asynchrony of the peri-ovulatory period and to show the menstrual dynamics and context of this particular group.
Mandrillus sphinx, synchrony, asynchrony, menstrual cycle, oeastrus, sexual swelling, social regulation of ovulation, pheromones

Zásady pro vypracování
Cílem práce je literární rešerše, ve které autorka představí ucelený přehled dosavadních znalostí a spektrum různých názorů na jev menstruační synchronizace/asynchronizace u primátů a následně doplní o statistické zpracovaní menstruačních cyklů samic mandrilů ryholících z dat poskytnutých ZOO Ústí nad Labem. Tato problematika bude zpracována v následujících krocích:
1. Úvod
2. Literární rešerše na téma výzkumu menstruační synchronizace u homo sapiens a nonhumanních primátů
3. Statistické vyhodnocení dat a popsání dynamiky menstruačních cyklů samic mandrilů ryholících.
