1. Terms, definitions, history, theoretical base and methods of logistics 2. Procedural composition of manufacturing plant, possibilities and advantages of use logistics in engineering, manufacturing plant 3. Logistical performance and logistical costs, logistical approach to supply. 4. Logistical process of shipping and distribution of products 5. Logistical process of supplying material to manufacturing, link with purchasing material for manufacturing 6. Logistical approach to process of production preparation. 7. Link between production process design and production system design. Logistical approach to layout of production system. 8. Logistical approach to order course through plant. 9. Learning outcomes
Logistics is a scientific discipline based on a holistic and systemic understanding of reality, revealing often unclear interrelationships between elements of systems. Logistics strengthens the links in the systems and supports a holistic, strategic approach to the arrangement of processes and systems that allows the most effective achievement of the system's goals. It is precisely for these properties that the application of logistics is particularly topical when applied to the most complex production processes and systems that occur in engineering companies. The aim of the study is to master approaches that allow to shorten the duration of unproductive activities in the production process. Course contents: 1. Terms, definitions, history, theoretical foundations and methods of logistics. 2. Process structure of a manufacturing company, possibilities and advantages of logistics application in an engineering manufacturing company. 3. Logistics services and logistics costs, logistic approach to stocks. 4. Logistic process of dispatch and distribution of products of the production company. 5. Logistic process of supplying production of materials, connection to the process of purchasing materials for production. 6. Logistic approach to the process of production preparation. 7. The link between the design of the production process and the design of the production system, the logistical approach to the spatial arrangement of the production system. 8. Logistic approach to the course of the order and the operational planning of production. 9. Logistics and the concept of Lean Production. 10. Logistics and methods Just in Time, Kanban, Kaizen, TPM, SMED, VSM. 11. Macrology, market of transport services, forwarding. 12. User approach to rail and road transport. 13. User access to sea, river and air transport.
