Course content
1. Logistics, definitions, history, basic concepts and methods. 2. Logistics in the practice of manufacturing companies, benefits for manufacturing companies. 3. Logistics operations and means of their implementation. 4. Rationalization of logistics operations, pallets, handling containers, storage and means of transport. 5. Logistics of material supply, material inventory management. 6. Logistics of goods dispatch and distribution of goods, packaging, inventory management. 7. Logistics in the production process, material and information flow. 8. Reverse logistics. 9. Transport logistics and transportation. 10. Road transport. 11. Rail transport. 12. Sea and river transport. 13. Air transport.

Learning outcomes
The course has an overview character, acquaints students with logistics as a tool to support the competitiveness of the manufacturing company. The aim of the study is to teach students to understand the concepts of material and information flow in the company, to understand the basic logistics concepts, tools and equipment used in corporate logistics. Understand the organization of the supply of materials to the manufacturing company, the dispatch of finished products, and the methods used to manage the state of stocks in the company. After completing the course the student understands the essence of logistics and its potential to support the competitiveness of the manufacturing company, t understands the relationship between transport, transportation and logistics, can characterize individual logistics operations and means of their implementation, knows the relationship of logistics to supplies of materials and goods and can characterize transport point of view
