Subject to the chemical effects of fluid materials is to acquaint students with the processes arising from the interaction of liquid - material. Closer deals with the physical - chemical phenomena of thermodynamics of reversible and irreversible processes, fluid properties, ideal and real behavior of fluids, physical and chemical properties of liquids and gases, acid-base theory, the influence of pH on metallic and non-metallic materials, mechanisms of action of fluids on the surface materials, diffusion processes at the interface of two phases. Substantial chemical processes are under the action of acids and bases for metal and non-metallic materials, chemical destruction of the material surface by treatment fluids further corrosion consequences depending upon the fluid and the pH of the environment or environmental influence e.g. fluids in the human body to metallic and non-metallic materials. Components of this course is to use chemicals for surface coating materials, electrochemical happening on the surface of metallic materials, chemical plating.

Students will learn the basic principles of physical chemistry, diffusion processes of fluid on the surface of the material, phase two equilibrium states, chemical processes when exposed to acids and bases for metal and non-metal materials, chemical destruction of the surface of materials getting wet, corrosive further consequences depending fluid and pH environment or environmental influence. These students apply knowledge and research as part of their undergraduate theses and subsequent doctoral work.
