Course content
1. Fundamentals of the theory of chemical bonding, atomic nucleus, the wave function, atomic orbitals, quantum numbers, Pauli exclusion principle, the periodicity of the valence electron configuration sphere. 2. Energy bonds, bond, molecular orbital theory, hybridization of atomic orbitals, classification of chemical bonds, weak interactions between molecules, Van der Walsový forces, hydrogen bridge bond, covalent bond. 3. Classification of chemicals, classification of elements, periodic law, periodic table of elements, nomenclature of inorganic compounds. 4. Chemical reactions, types of chemical reactions, energy changes during the course of reactions, reaction kinetics, catalysis, chemical equilibrium reaction. 5. Acids and bases, Lewis theory of acids and bases, and expressing acidity zásadnosti substances, pH, solutions, metabolism and molar concentration, weight and mole fraction, the dissociation equilibrium constant, solubility substances. 6. Chemistry nonmetals, hydrogen, oxygen, rare gases. 7.Halogens (fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, astatine), bonding of halogen, halogen-chemical properties, binary halogen compounds, oxygen-containing halogen compounds, the production of significant technical halogen compounds. 8. Chalcogenes (sulfur, selenium, tellurium), nitrogen, phosphorus, chemical properties chalcogen, sulfides, oxides, manufacturing technical important compounds producing industrially significant compounds. 9. Carbon, silicon, boron, carbon valence, physical and chemical properties, laboratory preparation, industrial production of technically important compounds of carbon, silicon, boron. 10. Elemental metals and transition metal chemistry, production and use of metals, chemicals non-transition metals, alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, physical and chemical properties, production, technical meaning source. 11. Organic compounds, and the construction bond in organic compounds, saturated hydrocarbons, with the double and triple bonds, derivatives of hydrocarbons, cyklosloučeniny. 12. Learning outcomes
The course summarizes the basic knowledge in the field of general, inorganic and organic chemistry. The aim is to gain an overview of the content of technical terms and the interrelationships of phenomena and properties of elements. Students are acquainted with chemical calculations and basic characteristics of elements and selected compounds.
