The aim of the course is to acquaint students with classical and modern methods of non-destructive testing of materials. After completing the course, students will be able to determine the causes of accidents or degradation of machinery and thus ensure the operability of machines. Non-destructive testing methods for materials and structures seek to detect and identify material defects in such a way that the product is not damaged and its useful and functional properties are not altered. Course contents: 1. Introduction - division of NDT methods, defects of materials and products. 2. Visual methods - introduction, visual inspection, evaluation of defects. 3. Magnetic and electromagnetic methods - introduction, principles, design, evaluation. 4. Capillary methods - introduction, principle, division, means, procedures, devices. 5. Ultrasound tests - introduction, principle, methods, procedures, equipment. 6. Radiation - introduction, principle, methods, procedures, equipment. 7. Method of scattering flows - introduction, principle, methods, procedures, equipment. 8. Eddy current method - introduction, principle, methods, procedures, equipment. 9.
