Study subject is focussed on the optimisation of production processes, above all, on the optimisation machining processes. Machining processes represent the most complicated variant of production processes in view of high number of optimisation parameters with comparison with other production processes. And that is why that principles for the optimisation of machining processes are applicable for other production processes. In the optimisation of machining processes the criterion of minimum machining cost is the most important criterion for the optimisation. The optimisation of machining processes relates above all to the optimisation of cutting tools (material, geometry and the wear for the tool change), cutting conditions and tool life, and also to tool wear and tool breakage monitoring, and as well as the optimisation on adaptive controlled machine tools.
