Course content
1. Concept and principles of quality management, quality and its importance, historical development of quality management, basic concepts of quality management (standards, ISO, TQM). 2. Economics of quality, essence and importance. 3. Quality in pre-production stages, conception and design, marketing and quality planning. 4. Quality in production, operational quality management, forms and methods of verification of conformity in production, management of nonconformities, corrective and preventive measures. 5. BPR - reengineering, nature and importance, customer management, the impact of technology and methodology of reengineering, process monitoring, change management and innovation management. 6. Quality in post-production stages, commissioning, monitoring of customer satisfaction and loyalty, service and product responsibility. 7. EMS environmental management systems and audits, sustainable development, types of audits, audit methodology, testing, certification. 8. Quality improvement, the essence of improvement processes, ISO 9000: 2015, Kaizen, Quality Journal, VW, Global 8D, Six Sigma method. 9. Methods and tools of quality management, SPC, QFD, FMEA, FTA, evaluation of process capability, measurement analysis 10. Methods and tools of quality management, seven basic and seven new tools of quality management.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject of quality management is to gain knowledge in the field of modern quality management of products, services and processes. The basic aim of the course is to get acquainted with modern quality management systems, the role of top management and employees in quality management systems in all stages of the production process and services. Part of the course is also the acquisition of basic knowledge in methods and tools of quality management and quality improvement.
the student is familiar with the quality systems used the student is able to describe and use quality tools in basic application areas the student will understand the basic principles of planning, management and quality improvement.
