Learning outcomes
|
This subject provides students with an overview of the field of metal and plastic forming and gives an overall view of manufacturing technologies and their respective quality indices. Students learn how to determine the appropriate process, production management techniques and deal with production alteration issues. The aim of this subject is to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical know-how relative to both hot and cold forming. Students will be acquainted with the general manufacturing processes required in forming and also specialist techniques in metal forming and plastics moulding. The goal is to enable students to select appropriate production methods based on economic or practical considerations.
Students will gain a comprehensive view of manufacturing technology and will learn make responsible decisions about processes, organization and change in production in that field. The aim is the study of theory and technologies in hot forming and cold introduction to manufacturing processes of forming, knowledge of special methods of metal forming, plastic molding independent ability to choose the method of economic and production terms.
