Course content
1. Importance of the foundry and its history, characteristics of foundry production and distribution 2. The production process nonpermanent molds and cores 3. Technology - design rule foundry technology and the choice of shaped castings. Use of advanced technologies in the production of casting parts for automobiles. 4. Modern and productive casting methods 5. Progressive Technologies offsetting forms - as investment and scraming model in-process, method C-Croning, method Shaw, etc. 6. Computer simulation programs for the casting material 7. Casting materials, properties, iron and nonferrous metals, summary and description. 8. Production of liquid metal - melt treatment and refining, modifying, vaccines, equipment for melting and casting metal, etc. 9. The nature, purpose and principle of modifying the vaccination of Al alloys and Fe alloys (the alloy), casting defects, classification of defects, corrective measures to avoid defects.

Learning outcomes
Students are acquainted with progressive methods of volume, respectively. surface heat and chemical-heat treatment of metals. Obtaining data from the field of physical-metallurgical nature of these processes, including the application of unconventional heating methods and analysis of obtained diffusion-thermal processes. At present, modern control systems for these processes in technical practice and, last but not least, the ecological aspects of technology users are described. Teaching here presents in connection with the heat treatment of metals and materials focused on subjects completed in the financial years of study. Course contents: 1. Physical-metallurgical nature of heat treatment of hazardous materials; the nature of influencing strength and technological properties, distribution and methods of thermal (chemical-thermal) processing. 2. Heating of steel for heat treatment, temperature cycle of heating, technological principles of heating, origin of stress and deformation during heating, determination of heating parameters of body simple geometric shapes. 3. Cooling during heat treatment of steel, IRA, ARA diagram, equilibrium versus nonequilibrium states in individual methods of heat treatment. 4. Unconventional heating methods - induction heating, physical principle, heating depth depending on the frequency of current availability (high-frequency, medium-frequency and low-frequency heating). 5. Laser beam heating, electron beam heating, resistance heating. 6. Thermomechanical heat treatment (essence, basic technological procedures, final properties). 7. Heat treatment of alloy steels - tool and stainless steels (austenitic, martensitic). 8. Heat treatment of non-ferrous metals. Changes in properties by alloying and subsequent heat treatment. Curing principle of non-ferrous metals. Aging. 9. Heat treatment of cast irons. Carbon in cast iron. Crystallization of cast irons versus steels. 10. Quality management systems (SMJ) and their application to thermal and chemical-thermal processing processes. 11. Ecological aspects of thermal diffusion processes. Hazardous and hazardous substances and their handling.
