1. Introduction to the issue of production machines and tools, basic division according to production technologies. 2. Machines for machining, their classification, basic structural arrangement, technological use. 3. Forming machines, their classification, basic structural arrangement, technological use. 4. Tools for machining, their division, types, use. 5. Structures and materials for machine tools. 6. Tools for thermoforming, their division, types, use. 7. Thermoforming tools, their construction, materials, tool parts, applications. 8. Tools for cold forming, their construction, materials. 9. Tools for cold forming, division, components, applications.

Learning outcomes
|
The course acquaints with the basic division of production machines, with their building elements and with their production possibilities and use. It also gives a brief overview of the tools used and their construction for both machining and forming. The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the construction and function of machines and tools and to describe their function and place in the production process.
The student will acquire knowledge in the field of use and classification of production machines in the field of commonly used technologies (machining, forming). The student will get acquainted with the tools that are commonly used for machining and forming technologies. The student will get acquainted with the application of production machines and the tools used by them.
