Course content |
1. CATIA working environment and possibilities of its basic settings, manipulation with objects, specification tree. 2. Basics of creating sketches (sketches) - toolbars of the Sketcher environment, positioned / non-positioned sketch. 3. Creating sketches (Sketcher environment) - dimensional parameters, geometric constraints. 4. Basics of volume modeling - Part Design environment, functions using sketches to create a volume model. 5. Volume modeling (Part Design environment) - modification of modeled components, transformation tools. 6. Basics of surface modeling - Generative Shape Design environment, basic functions of surface modeling. 7. Assembly creation - Assembly Design environment, insertion of components, manipulation with components, assembly bindings. 8. Modification of assemblies, analysis of constraints, model storage. 9. Parameters and formulas - identifiers of model elements, creation of user parameters, creation of formulas. 10. Basics of creating drawing documentation - Drafting environment, creating views, inserting dimensions, print settings.

The course mediates the acquisition of knowledge of 3D modeling in CATIA V5. The aim of the course is to get acquainted with one of the most used software in the automotive industry and to prepare graduates for the automotive industry in the field of construction and design.
