1. Introduction to environmental protection. Basic concepts and principles. 2. Process management, process measurement and monitoring, process and system risks. Strategic management of the organization in the field of environment. 3. Concepts and requirements of the ISO 14001 standard (chapters 0 - 3). 4. Concepts and requirements of ISO 14001 (Chapters 4 - 6). 5. Concepts and requirements of the ISO 14001 standard (chapters 7 - 10). 6. Requirements of environmental legislation. 7. Integration and improvement of the environmental management system using the ISO 14001 standard. 8. Specifics of internal audits in the field of environment. 9. Certification audit and certification companies. 10. Company culture, participation and the relationship of employees to environmental protection.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to get acquainted with the environmental management system according to ISO 14001.
Students will learn to work with the document ISO 14001: 2015, acquire an overview of the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard and gain knowledge in the field of environmental management in the company. They will gain an overview of the principles of EMS and tools for managing environmental aspects and their impact on the environment. The EMS environmental management system is not just an ecology, but part of an organization's strategy. It is a tool of the organization to manage all activities in terms of environmental protection, minimizing the negative impacts of activities, products and services on the environment and the economical use of energy and raw materials.
