Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to master the various technologies in a wide range of foundries with regard to the technological rules of choice of technology, advantages and disadvantages of individual technologies, economic and environmental aspects of individual technologies. Current and future trends in foundry. The chronological course describes and divides foundry technologies into groups, points out the main technological and development trends in the field of foundry and also describes the history of the development of foundry and liquid metal processing.
Students will acquire competencies in the field of overview and use of individual foundry technologies. They will gain knowledge in the field of preparation and production of liquid metal with the aim of maximum elimination of inclusions and degassing of the melt and suppression of defects in castings.
