Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to create comprehensive knowledge of electrical and magnetic phenomena, optics and atomic physics, to prepare students for the study of related special subjects. The course introduces students to the basic theories of classical physics (electromagnetism, optics), quantum physics and the properties of radiation.
Knowledge of electrostatic, magnetic and electromagnetic fields, students are able to apply this knowledge to simple systems. They will gain an awareness of the basic laws of optics and light propagation, quantum and atomic physics.
