Course content
|
1. Content and meaning of metrology, division and content of metrology, history of metrology, international cooperation and institutions in metrology. 2. Legal metrology, Act No. 505/1990 Coll. on Metrology, Decree of the Ministry of Industry and Trade No. 264/2000 Coll., On basic units and other units and their marking. 3. Overview of the state of state metrology, type approval of the meter, verification, calibration. Arranging and ensuring primary standardization in the Czech Republic. Standards. 4. Business metrology and tasks of business metrology. Categorization of measuring instruments in terms of industrial metrology, calibration and traceability of measuring instruments. 5. Internal and external calibration. Determination of recalibration intervals, determination of calibration validity period. 6. Metrological rules of the company and metrological confirmation. 7. Measurement methods, measurement errors and uncertainties. 8. Metrological requirements of the standard ČSN EN ISO 9000: 2001 and measurement management systems according to ČSN EN ISO 10012: 2003. 9. Metrological security in the field of EMS.

Learning outcomes
|
Nature and objectives of metrology in the past and present. Area action metrology and conformity with current legal standards, the CZ and the EU. Law on metrology CZ and its implementation in practice - metrological provisions for companies and organizations. Apparatus, equipment and measurement units in manufacturing companies. Nature and the need for calibration and verification of measuring instruments, equipment and instruments.
Students will get acquainted with the content, content and importance of metrology in relation to the NMS (National Metrology System). They will also be acquainted with and gain knowledge in the field of measurement methodology, the basics of statistical calculations of error determination and measurement uncertainties. Students will apply this knowledge both in practice and in research activities within their bachelor's, diploma theses and subsequently also doctoral theses.
