1. Basic concepts; thermophysical properties of substances; laws of thermomechanics. 2. Thermal cycles, internal combustion engines, piston compressors 3. Heat sharing laws 4. Heat transfer at boiling and condensation 5. Heat exchangers 6. Recuperative heat exchangers 7. Regenerative, mixing heat exchangers 8. Heat transfer in solids, heating, cooling 9. Heat and mass transfer 10. Special issues of heat transfer (conditions of calculations, procedures, efficiency, etc.) 11. Basics of heat modeling.

Learning outcomes
|
Students are acquainted with basic principles of thermal calculations, deepen knowledge of thermal processes.
Students will be able to explain the basic principles of heat transfer, apply them to common practice cases. At the end of the course students will be able to make basic calculations in thermal processes
