Learning outcomes
The subject acquaints the students with basic methods measuring non-electric quantities in production, and with the appropriate instrumentation for these measurements. The aim is to teach the students to choose and use the measuring instruments properly, and to evaluate the measurement result correctly.
The student has an overview of methods of measuring physical quantities and processing of measured data. They can assess the possibility of measuring and applying individual measurement principles to specific applications in industry. He / she is able to independently design a measuring system / instrument / method for a particular case, evaluate the accuracy, calculate the measurement uncertainties. After performing the measurement, he / she can work with the data so that the resulting evaluation includes information about the validity area.
