Machine industry is a production sector, which produces articles of utmost importance to our society, such as machine tools, means of transport or utility objects of daily life. Engineering includes the project, construction, control and maintenance of industrial products and therefore applies the outputs of different technological disciplines such as mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, electricity and so on. The subject Introduction to engineering presents the products of various branches of the machine industry in relation to the relevant physical basis. The aim of the subject is to give the students a comprehensive image of relations among the fundamentals of engineering and the products of the industry.
- student understands the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, gains the entry minimum, which is necessary for its technical development in other subjects of bachelor study at technical school (machine parts, hydromechanics, thermomechanics, etc.) - The student will acquire basic knowledge of mechanical engineering, will be familiar with basic technological methods used in mechanical engineering
